Sharing is available on every plan, including Free — the page is hosted and served by us on your behalf. Opening a shared link never requires a plan, or even an account.

Until now the only way to show someone a cutting plan was to export a PDF and email it. A share link does the same job without an attachment: the recipient opens a page, sees the plan, and needs nothing installed and no account.

Sharing a plan

Open the Projects panel in the app, find the cut you want to show, and click the 🔗 button on its row. The link is copied to your clipboard immediately — paste it into an email, a message, or a work order.

Sharing the same cut again gives you the same link rather than a second one, so there is never a URL in circulation that you cannot see and switch off.

What the page shows

The visitor sees a read-only view: the plan name, the summary figures, and the layout diagrams. They see nothing else about you — not your other projects, not your account, not your customer list.

The page is marked noindex, so search engines are told not to list it. A shared link is unlisted, not published.

How long it lasts, and turning it off

Links last 90 days by default. That is deliberate: a plan needs to survive a real project timeline, but a public address to somebody’s part list should not live forever.

Your dashboard has a Shared plans section listing every live link — the cut it points at, when it expires, how many times it has been opened, and a Revoke button. Revoking takes effect immediately.

A revoked or expired link does not show an error page. It explains what happened and invites the visitor to ask you for a new one, which matters when the address was printed on a plan taped to a workshop wall months earlier.

What it does not do

  • It is read-only. Nobody can change your plan through the link, and nothing they do is saved.
  • It shows the plan as it was saved. Re-optimizing the cut and saving again updates what the link shows; the link itself does not change.

FAQ

Who can open a shared link?
Anyone who has the address. There is no sign-in, and the link is the only thing protecting the plan — so treat it like a password: send it to the people who need it, not to a public page. Search engines are explicitly told not to index it.
How long does a share link last?
90 days by default. Links expire so plans do not stay reachable forever; when one lapses you can share the same cut again in one click. You can revoke a link at any time from your dashboard, which takes effect immediately.
What does the visitor actually see?
The plan's name, the summary figures (utilization, sheets or bars, parts, cuts) and the layout diagrams. They cannot edit anything, cannot see your other projects, and cannot see your account.
What happens if I delete the cut?
The link dies with it. The same is true if you delete your account — every link you published disappears with the data.
