A webshop configurator for cut-to-size board shops
The CutOptim Configurator is built for shops that cut sheet material to order: furniture-board and panel merchants, timber yards, and glass and plastic sheet shops. Customers enter their parts on your website, see the cutting plan and your price, and order, instead of sending a cut list by e-mail.
Quick answer
If your shop sells boards cut to size, the configurator takes the cut list out of your inbox. The customer works in your webshop with your boards and your prices, sees the plan your saw will follow, and sends a signed order. CutOptim collects no payment and runs no shop for you: the order lands in your own system.
What a cut-to-size shop sells
The trade is the same whatever the material: a customer needs parts, not sheets, and your price has to cover the sheet, the cutting and the extras.
| You sell | The configurator handles |
|---|---|
| Boards cut to size: MDF, chipboard, plywood, melamine | Parts entered by width, height and quantity, placed on your sheet sizes, with grain direction |
| Edge-banded parts | Edge banding chosen per edge and priced per metre from your edging list |
| Drilled, grooved or shaped parts | Machining priced per operation, per metre or per part |
| Glass and plastic sheet | Rectangular parts cut on a table, planned and priced like boards |
From e-mailed cut lists to orders in your system
Today a customer sends a list by e-mail, someone retypes it, and a quote goes back. With the configurator the customer sees the plan and the price at once, and your staff receive a cut list that is already checked and a price that is already signed.
Load your boards
Add boards, edging and prices from a CSV or Excel file and check them in a preview.
Set your rules
Price per sheet, per square metre or per metre of cut, with edge banding, machining, surcharges and a minimum order.
Embed it
One line of code puts it on the page, as a pop-up, a side panel or its own page.
Receive orders
The customer orders with a signed quote, the order reaches your platform, and you cut the plan the customer saw.
Your prices, your customers
Trade customers and private customers can see different price lists. VAT, rounding, delivery by zone or pickup at your yard, and the lead time shown to the customer are all yours to set.
- — Ten languages, so a customer abroad can order in their own.
- — Metric or imperial units, and your own currency.
- — Customers can save a project and come back to it.
Works with the platform you have
The configurator sits in the shop you already run. If your platform is custom-built or an ERP, the order reaches it through a signed webhook that your server verifies; the custom platform page shows how. For WooCommerce there is a ready-made plug-in in early access.
CutOptim collects no payment and hosts no shop. Start a free sandbox in the console to load your boards and prices.
