Privacy notice for the cut-to-size configurator

Who is responsible

The operator of the online shop you are using runs that shop and decides why and how your data is used (the "controller"). Its privacy notice and contact details are on the shop's website. CutOptim provides the configurator and processes your data on the shop's behalf. CutOptim's own privacy policy: cutoptim.com/privacy.

What is processed

The parts list and settings you enter; projects you choose to save; and, if you place an order, the contact and delivery details the shop asks for and the order itself. If the shop has enabled it, you also receive order status e-mails, sent through an e-mail service provider.

Where

The configurator runs on servers in Germany (European Union).

On your device

The configurator stores two items in your browser's local storage. It sets no cookies.

  1. Column widths of the parts table (a display preference).
  2. A random project token, created when you first save a project. It lets you reopen your saved projects on your next visit. CutOptim stores only a one-way hash of it. If you clear it, you can no longer open those saved projects.

You can delete both by clearing this site's data in your browser. If storage is blocked, the configurator still works for the current visit.

How long

The shop sets how long projects and quotes are kept. Order records are kept as the law requires. Your order tracking link, if you receive one, stops working 365 days after the order.

Your rights

To access, correct or delete your data, or to object, contact the shop operator (see above). You may also complain to your data protection authority.
