A price calculator for your website that prices cutting the way you do

The CutOptim Configurator works as a price calculator for your website: every price is built from rules you set, the way your shop already charges for sheets, cutting and edge banding. The customer sees the total change as they add parts, and the price they order at is signed.

Pick how a board is charged

Each board can follow its own pricing basis, so a cheap chipboard and an expensive veneered panel can be sold differently.

BasisThe customer pays forFits when
Full sheetEvery sheet the plan usesThe off-cut stays with your shop
Part areaThe square metres of the parts plus your waste percentageYou sell the board by area
Cut lengthEvery metre of saw cutYou price the cutting work itself
Sheet plus cuttingThe sheet, plus each metre of cut or each partMaterial and cutting are charged separately

Edge banding, machining and extras

Edge banding is priced per metre from your edging list. Machining such as holes, grooves, radii, cut-outs and hinge drillings is priced per operation, per metre or per part. Surcharges can be fixed or a percentage, on the whole order or on parts of it, and a minimum order value keeps small jobs worth cutting.

Edge banding is counted per banded edge, so a part banded on two edges costs less than one banded on four.

Customer groups, VAT and rounding

Trade customers and private customers can see different price lists. VAT is applied at the rate you set, rounded per line or on the total, and prices can be shown with or without VAT. The lead time shown to the customer follows the slowest board in the order or a fixed number of days.

Delivery and pickup

Shipping can be priced by zone — per sheet, by weight, by order value or as a flat fee — next to pickup at your yard. The customer sees the delivery cost before ordering.

Load your prices from a spreadsheet

Boards, edgings and prices can be imported from a CSV or Excel file and checked in a preview before they go live. The same file can be exported, edited and imported again when your supplier prices change.

Frequently asked questions

Can I charge by the square metre instead of by the sheet?
Yes. Each board can be priced per full sheet, per square metre of the parts with a waste percentage, per metre of saw cut, or as the sheet price plus cutting. You choose the basis per board, so different materials can be sold differently.
How is edge banding priced?
Per metre, from the edging list you load. The customer chooses edge banding per edge of each part, and the configurator adds the length of every banded edge to the price — so a part banded on two edges costs less than one banded on four.
Can trade customers see different prices?
Yes. You can set customer groups and price lists, so a trade customer and a private customer see different prices for the same board. VAT can be shown or left out, depending on who the price is for.
Can a customer change the price in the browser?
No. Prices are computed on our side from your rules and the order carries a signed quote. Your shop can check the signature on its server before accepting the order, so an altered price is refused.
How do I enter my prices?
Type them in, or import your boards, edgings and prices from a CSV or Excel file. You see a preview before anything changes, and you can export the list, edit it and import it again when your prices change.
